Game jam: Tabletop Stocking Stuffers

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

Wouldn’t it be great if those stockings contained a few physical games to entertain and delight, sparking children’s imaginations and igniting a life-long love of tabletop gaming?

Let’s make that possible together!

Tabletop Stocking Stuffers is a game jam, running from 15 October to 12 November, to gather games that fit the following basic criteria:

  1. They are analogue (i.e. not digital).
  2. They can be easily printed at home on a single sheet of paper (both sides is fine).
  3. They are standalone and do not require any additional rules or printouts.
  4. They were first published sometime during 2024.

That’s it - no other criteria and no theme!

Join the game jam and submit your games here:

When submitting, you can opt in to have your game included in the pay-what-you-want bundle that will be available through the month of December.

Use this topic to discuss the jam, ask questions, talk about your games, let folks know what you’re working on, or anything else.

Any chance you’d open up the jam to include miniatures or printable terrain? I’m about to put my miniatures and terrain on itch.io and would love to submit something, especially for the bundle!

I love printed miniatures! They always make game tables so much more fun and interesting.

For this jam, the point is specifically single-sheet games with no extra stuff, so printables like that wouldn’t fit, and I’m not going to include them. That being said - I love the idea of a jam for print-at-home miniatures, so if you feel like you have the energy for that, I would love to see it

Very cool. I’m going to dabble with a single sheet rule system and still try to enter your jam. I also shared it with a couple discords I’m in so hopefully some of them join!

And the game jam has started!
