The second entry in our Field Satchel series! This is a magical idol with a collection of passive effects and active abilities.
The Idol of Caedmus Calmshore
A weathered stone carving of a capybara head, serene and peaceful. Its eyes are inlaid with dull glass beads, and the base bears wave-like carvings.
Many seasons ago, after a particularly wet winter, the wetland mice built tiny levees to hold back the rising mud. While building, they uncovered this carved idol, dedicated to Caedmus Calmshore, the capybara who once ruled these lands.
Legends say that Caedmus would use his considerable size to hold back the winter floods, protecting his smaller subjects from their onslaught. This idol was carved as a vessel to contain his spirit after he passed.
